Chemicals in freezer dumped in Fen river ‘could threaten swans’

A village ‘street pride’ group has asked Middle Level Commissioners to urgently remove a freezer dumped in a Fenland river.
Andy Burrell of Tydd St Giles Street sent a photo of the ‘floating freezer’ to the commissioners today.
“I would like to report a freezer floating along the Main Drain between the Church Lane Bridge and the Sandy Lane Bridge, Tydd St Giles,” said Mr Burrell.
