A cross-county police raid has uncovered thousands of pounds worth of stolen EV chargers linked to a bold theft in Cambridgeshire.
Officers from Cambridgeshire Police’s Crime Investigations Department executed a warrant in Essex, recovering around £7,000 worth of goods believed to have been stolen from a vehicle parked at Brampton Hut Services last year.
The case took a dramatic turn when the missing chargers were allegedly spotted for sale on eBay, sparking an investigation that led detectives straight to the suspect.
A man has now been arrested, and enquiries are ongoing.

Police say the theft is part of a wider pattern of criminals targeting vehicles in lorry parks across the county.
Officers are stepping up patrols in hotspot areas, warning drivers to stay vigilant and take extra precautions when parking overnight.
Motorists are urged to lock vehicles, park defensively, and check for signs of tampering before setting off.
Police also stress that safety comes first — anyone witnessing suspicious activity should report it immediately.
