A home in Millfield, Peterborough, has been partially closed due to concerns about drug use and anti-social behaviour. The partial closure order was served on 56 Vere Road, on Tuesday (10 March) following a successful application at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
The order, which is in place until 9 June, prohibits access to everyone, with the exception of the house owner and emergency services.
Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine, or both.
PC Barry Morton, from the Peterborough Central NPT, said: “Drug use and anti-social behaviour has a significant impact on the community it occurs in, and I hope this order shows that we do listen to their concerns.
“Any breaches will be dealt with robustly, and I urge those with information to report it to us.”
Anyone with information about the order being breached should contact police online at www.cambs.police.uk/report.
Those without internet access should call 101.
