A 16-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in Peterborough, with four people arrested as part of a murder investigation. Police were called just before 7pm on Sunday (April 12) to reports that the teenager had been attacked in Riseholme, near the Orton Centre.
Emergency services attended and the boy was taken to hospital, but he died later that evening.
Detectives have confirmed they are treating the death as murder.

Two people from Peterborough — a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man — have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 17-year-old girl from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, while a 16-year-old girl from March has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of a bladed article.

All four remain in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
A cordon remains in place around the Orton Centre as officers carry out inquiries, and residents can expect an increased police presence in the coming days.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit, said:
“This is tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a young man, and we are in contact with his family and keeping them updated.
“While we understand the death will be concerning for local people, we do not believe this was a random attack and there will be a significant police presence in the area over coming days.
“I would urge anyone who believes they have information about this attack, or lives in the area and has CCTV at their home, to contact police.”
