Police in Peterborough say their neighbourhood officers scored “two for the price of one” last week during routine patrols in Welland.
While on the streets of Welland, officers noticed a van in poor condition, with broken windows and open doors. To their surprise, a road roller was visible inside the vehicle.

Further checks revealed that both the van and the road roller had been reported stolen. Police say thanks to swift action, both vehicles have now been recovered. Investigations into the thefts are ongoing.
Residents are reminded to secure machinery and vehicles and report any suspicious activity immediately. Advice on protecting your equipment and how to report concerns is available online at https://orlo.uk/E8zEA.
