Two men have been disqualified from driving after separate drink-driving crashes just days apart in Cambridgeshire.
On 14 November, Peter Pesci, 72, of West Green, Barrington, crashed his black Ford into a ditch on High Street.
Pesci walked away from the scene but was later found at home, where a breath test showed he had more than double the legal alcohol limit.
He pleaded guilty at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on 4 December and was banned from driving for 19 months, receiving a £230 fine.
Just two days later, Milan Szlovak, 32, of Iceni Way, Cambridge, crashed his car at a roundabout on the A428 near Cambourne while travelling with friends.

Szlovak blew 102 at the roadside – nearly three times the legal limit – and admitted drink driving. He was disqualified for 20 months and fined £120.
Police have released a photo of Szlovak’s crashed vehicle as a stark warning to others.
PC Ben Place, who investigated both incidents, said: “Driving under the influence not only puts your own life at risk, but also endangers your passengers and other road users.
“We are committed to cracking down on drink driving and urge the public to report anyone they suspect of driving while intoxicated.”
The force operates a 24/7 confidential hotline – 0800 032 0845 – for reporting suspected drink drivers.
