A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a serious two-vehicle collision closed a busy Cambridgeshire road on Tuesday evening (13 January).
Emergency services were called to the B1101 March Road at Coldham at around 5.46pm after reports of a crash involving a Mercedes and a red Mini.

Two people were freed from the Mercedes by crews from Wisbech and March Community Fire & Rescue Stations, part of Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service.

They were taken to hospital by the East of England Ambulance Service with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the red Mini was arrested on suspicion of:
Driving over the legal limit for cocaine and cannabis
Driving with no insurance
Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
They were also taken to hospital for checks.
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services cleared the scene and recovered the vehicles, causing disruption to evening traffic.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw either vehicle being driven beforehand, to come forward.
