A new support group focused on men’s wellbeing and mental fitness is set to launch at Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon through a partnership with local charity Space for Men.
Starting on Wednesday 20th May at 7pm, the fortnightly meetings will provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment where local men can talk openly, learn from one another and build emotional resilience.
The initiative aims to encourage open conversations around mental wellbeing and provide ongoing peer support within the local community.
General Manager Katie Wilkinson said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Space for Men to Bayleaf Care Home and providing them with a safe space for these very important meetings.

“We fully appreciate that historically men do not always feel comfortable sharing their feelings so if these meetings can help feel provide an atmosphere that encourages people to open up then it can only be a positive.
“Here at Bayleaf Care Home we are always looking at new ways that we can provide support and advice about care to anyone who needs it. If anyone is unable to make it on the day but would like to pop in for a tour and a cup of tea, our doors are always open.”
Bayleaf Care Home is operated by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers. The home offers residential care and dementia care for 53 residents, including short-term respite care and longer-term stays.
