Two private companies previously associated with Cllr Wayne Fitzgerald, leader of the Conservative group on Peterborough City Council and a former leader of the authority, have been formally dissolved, according to public records held by Companies House.
The companies are Prestige Transport Logistics Limited and CAP – Radio Production and Media Buying Services Limited, both of which were registered at a residential address in Peterborough.
Prestige Transport Logistics Limited
Prestige Transport Logistics Limited was incorporated in March 2012. Cllr Fitzgerald was its sole director and held a controlling interest in the company, owning between 75 and 100 per cent of shares and voting rights.
The most recent published accounts cover the year ending 31 March 2024 and were approved in December 2024. They were prepared under the micro-entity regime, which requires only limited financial disclosure and does not include a profit and loss account.
The balance sheet shows fixed assets of £42,209 and current assets of £35,791 at the year end. Creditors due within one year totalled £517,855, resulting in net current liabilities of £482,064 and total net liabilities of £439,855.
Such figures are drawn from unaudited micro-entity accounts and, on their own, do not indicate wrongdoing or misconduct.
The accounts state that the company had no employees during the year. They were unaudited, as permitted under the Companies Act for companies of this size, and were signed by Cllr Fitzgerald in his capacity as director at the time.
Companies House records show the company was dissolved on 17 March 2026.
CAP – Radio Production and Media Buying Services Limited
CAP – Radio Production and Media Buying Services Limited was incorporated in January 2010 and operated in the radio production and media buying sector.
Cllr Fitzgerald served as a director of the company until November 2017. After stepping down from the board, filings continued to list him as a person with significant control, reflecting a controlling shareholding. At the time of dissolution, the sole director was Lynn Valerie Fitzgerald.
The company’s most recent accounts cover the year ending 31 July 2024 and were approved in April 2025.
They show fixed assets of £33,197, current assets of £41,714, and creditors of £23,889 due within one year, with total net assets recorded at £51,022.
As with the other company, the accounts were prepared under the micro-entity regime and state that the business had no employees.
Companies House records show the company was dissolved in March 2026 following a voluntary strike-off process.
Context
Both companies were private businesses and filed accounts in accordance with statutory requirements.
The dissolution of a company is a standard legal process and does not, in itself, indicate wrongdoing. Company accounts prepared under the micro-entity regime are unaudited and provide limited financial detail.
Cllr Fitzgerald’s role as a councillor is separate from his involvement in private business activities. Elected members are permitted to hold business interests, subject to applicable disclosure requirements.
