Care home’s ‘Mad Hatter Tea Party’ to celebrate Dorothy’s 104th birthday

Celebrations have been in full swing at Hilton Park Care Home, Bottisham, as one of its residents reached her 104th birthday in style.
Dorothy was joined by staff, relatives, friends, and other residents as she had a celebratory birthday party at the home and guests enjoyed a special birthday cake made by the home’s chef Anthony Parkins.

“A very happy 104th birthday to our lovely Dorothy, who celebrated her special day with a Mad Hatter Tea Party,” said Geanina Tinca, general manager.
“Residents, families, and staff all came together to have a great time, singing along and clapping.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lou and Mike for the wonderful afternoon, to All Saints Primary School Newmarket for the lovely birthday cards made by the students, and to our chef who prepared a delicious cake for everyone to enjoy. Thank you all for joining us today.”

Geanina added: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a truly remarkable woman as she reaches this amazing milestone of 104th years. Dorothy is such a popular resident who always has an interesting tale to tell.
Hilton Park care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers; Hilton Park provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 74 residents from respite care to long term stays.
