‘Hate crime’ scooter man sought in Littleport

A man who is alleged to have used a racist word towards a fish and chip shop customer is being sought by Cambridgeshire police.
A CCTV image of a man was released today by East Cambridgeshire police of a man “we would like to speak to in connection with a hate crime”.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a hate crime.
The incident happened at about 8.50pm on Monday, 17 April, when the victim was leaving Rumbles Fish Bar in Littleport.
“As she walked towards her car, a man rode past on a scooter and used a racist word towards her. He then turned a corner and parked outside the Co-op before speeding off,” said a police spokesperson.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is urged to contact us via our webchat or call 101 quoting crime reference 35/28537/23 or by visiting our website.”
