A man who bombarded a Member of Parliament with racist abuse and issued death threats to the Prime Minister and probation officers has been jailed for nearly two years.
Lee White, 52, of Granby Street, Littleport, sent a torrent of 109 threatening and racially abusive emails to Labour MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan between 29 August and 1 September 2024. The messages contained vile racial slurs and chilling threats to kill Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and other cabinet ministers.
White was arrested at his home on 4 September 2024. In police interview, he bizarrely claimed he sent the emails because an “aggravated burglary at a relative’s house was covered up” and that his behaviour had “got out of hand” because he was “bored.”
Despite being released on bail, White continued his campaign of menace. Between 24 and 26 November 2024, he sent further messages to his probation officer threatening to “kill everyone” in the probation office using grenades and guns, and to blow up Parkside Police Station.

He also made false and defamatory claims that staff at The Cambridge Junction were protecting sex offenders. White was re-arrested on 28 November and refused to answer questions in interview.
At Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday (28 October), White admitted sending communications threatening death or serious harm, harassment without violence, and sending indecent or offensive messages. He also pleaded guilty to sending false communications with intent to cause harm, receiving no separate penalty for the latter.
He was jailed for 23 months.
Detective Constable James Lewis, who led the investigation, said: “Lee White’s menacing and threatening messages to the MP and his probation officer were deeply unpleasant and disgraceful. I’m glad he’s been jailed.”
