A drug dealer has been jailed after police stopped a BMW linked to drug dealing in Cambridge. Officers were on patrol in Newmarket Road on 14 February when they were alerted to a white BMW suspected of being involved in drug activity in the area.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as 24-year-old Emiljan Durici, of Ditton Walk, Cambridge.
Checks revealed Durici was driving without insurance. Officers also found a mobile phone containing messages linked to drug dealing, along with £274 in cash in his pockets.
Durici was arrested and taken into custody, where a further search uncovered four bags of cocaine hidden in his pants with an estimated street value of around £160.
Police later searched his home in Ditton Fields and discovered a further £4,000 in cash, 11 bags of cannabis and 19 bags of cocaine worth more than £2,000.

At Peterborough Crown Court on Monday (12 May), Durici was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, possession of criminal property and driving without a licence or insurance.
He was also disqualified from driving for 30 months.
Detective Constable Luisa Mccready, who investigated the case, said: “This sentence reflects the serious harm that drug dealing causes to our communities.
“Proactive patrols and intelligence-led policing play a vital role in disrupting those involved in the supply of drugs, and we will continue to take action against anyone who thinks they can profit from criminal activity.”
