A registered sex offender has been jailed after breaching strict court-imposed conditions designed to monitor his behaviour. Vincent Flemons, 53, was sentenced to one year in prison at Huntingdon Law Courts on Thursday, 7 May, after admitting two counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and one count of failing to comply with Sex Offenders Register notification requirements.
Police visited Flemons after officers responsible for managing sex offenders discovered he was breaking the terms of the order imposed on him in July 2025 following previous convictions involving children.
The SHPO banned Flemons from installing, downloading or using instant messaging services that do not save internet history unless he had prior written consent.
In February, monitoring software installed on his phone alerted officers that he had downloaded a social media app capable of deleting chat history without police approval.

Further examination of his device revealed he had also deleted several apps, including Instagram and Twitter, breaching another condition requiring all internet history to be retained on any device he used.
Officers also discovered Flemons had been staying at a property in Waterbeach without informing police within the required three-day period.
Flemons, who is listed as having no known address, admitted the offences in court.
Detective Constable Sonia Kauser, who led the investigation, said: “Flemons was well aware of the conditions of his SHPO, but decided to breach them anyway.
“I’m pleased that he has now faced justice, and I hope this case shows how committed we are to managing sexual offenders and ensuring they comply with court orders.”
