Drivers using the A142 at Witchford near Ely face delays after a lorry overturned, shedding its load, on the Lancaster Way roundabout. Cambridgeshire fire and rescue were first on the scene and drivers caught up in queues say their officers have been directing traffic until police arrive.
“Major incident – over turned lorry at Witchford roundabout material and oil over the road,” said one driver forced to abandon their car and walk into work on the estate.
“They have closed the roads coming out of Lancaster Way and you can’t get through into Ely so I would advise not to come this way.
“Lots of traffic building up looks like it’s going to take a long time to clear
Lorry overturned on Lancaster Way roundabout. Is passable but causing tail backs. Emergency services on scene.”
Cambs Travel News on Twitter – which tweets live Cambridgeshire traffic and travel information from Cambridgeshire – say: “Delays approaching the roundabout due to a reported road traffic collision.
