Burst water main forces closure of 3 Cambridgeshire schools
William De Yaxley C of E Academy, Fourfields Community Primary and Yaxley Infant school all announced they were not able to open today.

Three Cambridgeshire schools closed today after a burst water main affected supply. Villagers in and around Farcet and Yaxley also experienced flooding – some of it severe.

Anglian Water is on the scene and hope to have a normal water supply restored sometime soon but a Peterborough Road, Farcet, where the pipe has burst, will be closed for a few days whilst “the repairs settle, and it is good to walk on”.
