Man charged with burglary with intent to steal at Sportsman pub, Elm

A man is due to appear in court today (Friday) in connection with a break-in at the Sportsman pub at Elm last weekend.
Richard Lake, 34, was arrested in Wisbech on Wednesday afternoon (16 August) by the local neighbourhood policing team.
Detectives have since charged him with:
- Burglary with intent to steal – The Sportsman, Main Road, Elm, on 12 August
- Theft of two bottles of Jack Daniels from Haran’s All in One Store, Norfolk Street, Wisbech, on 1 May
Lake, of Kingfisher Drive, Wisbech, has been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today.
