A family say there is renewed hope of tracing a dangerous driver who forced a motorist off the A605 near Guyhirn after a witness came forward with dash cam footage.
James Smith was left shaken and suffering suspected whiplash after his car was forced into a ditch at around 5.10pm on Thursday, May 8.
His wife, Kim Smith, appealed online for help after revealing the family initially had no evidence or registration details because their vehicle was not fitted with a dash cam.
Kim said the incident happened when another driver attempted a dangerous overtake on the opposite side of the road.

She wrote: “My husband was ran into a ditch this evening by someone dangerously overtaking on the other side of the road.
“My husband thankfully only has minor injuries. However, we don’t have a dash cam so have no evidence of the driver’s license plate.”
The incident happened on a bend along the A605, leaving James with little time to react.
Kim added: “The hospital have said suspected whiplash. He will need to see the GP in a few days if still in pain.
“So scary. This was on a bend as well so he barely saw the car in time to swerve.”

After widespread sharing of the appeal on social media, a witness came forward with dash cam footage which may help identify the vehicle involved.
Kim later confirmed: “We managed to find someone with footage. Hopefully the police can clear up the license plate enough.”
She added: “Someone has been in touch with dash cam footage. The license plate is very unclear but hopefully the police can do something with it.”
The family have thanked everyone who shared the appeal and helped track down potential evidence.
Police are now hoped to be examining footage which may help identify the vehicle involved.
