Man held on suspicion of murder following discovery of body near Wisbech

A man is being held on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body near Wisbech.
Police were called to Emneth, near Wisbech, shortly before 7.30am yesterday (Monday 11 September).
“It followed a report that the body of a woman, aged in her 60s, had been found at a property in Lady’s Drove,” said a spokesperson for Norfolk Police.
“A man aged in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has been taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, and he remains in custody.
The spokesperson added: “An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the woman’s death.
“A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to be carried out this afternoon.”
