Police, paramedics and an air ambulance rushed to Paston Ridings at about 6pm yesterday after a blue Ford Mondeo crashed into a semi-detached property and stationary vehicles.

The force said the car had been travelling along Paston Ridings when it smashed into the house, causing extensive structural damage.

A 40-year-old man from Peterborough, believed to have been driving the Mondeo, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
A 70-year-old woman who was inside the house at the time of the collision also suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Shocked neighbours reported hearing a huge bang before discovering the vehicle wedged against the damaged property. Brickwork and debris could reportedly be seen scattered inside the home.
Earlier in the evening, an air ambulance landed close to the scene as emergency crews battled to secure the area.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage from anyone who saw the collision or the blue Ford Mondeo in the moments leading up to the crash.
