Peterborough Cathedral joins with Christians everywhere in sadness at the news of the death of Pope Francis, but in profound gratitude for his witness to Christ’s compassion for the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people and his consistent call for peace and justice.
This Easter season is a reminder of the ultimate victory of love over hatred and life over death.
We pray for our Roman Catholic sisters and brothers, especially here in Peterborough and for Francis that he may rest in peace and rise in glory.
