Police believe a convicted sex offender wanted on recall to prison could be hiding out in Wisbech or Peterborough. Tony Smith, 33, formerly of Plymouth, has been on the ‘most wanted’ list for Devon and Cornwell police since August; he has not been seen since.

Smith, who also uses other names such as ‘Alfie Smith’ and ‘Alfie Biddle’, was originally convicted for serious sexual offences.

He has breached his licence conditions and has had his licence revoked.

Detective Sergeant Jackie Hunt of Devon and Cornwell Police said: “While Smith’s exact whereabouts is unknown, we have reason to believe that he may have left our force area and may be in Peterborough or Wisbech in the Cambridgeshire area.
